Statement:
I only paint positive paintings, you know why?
Because I think that life is a dream and that we dream up our own life experiences,
I prefer to dream and create a positive ritual to invoke a better healing world for all of us and to grow spiritually.
It is a reflection of my life long interest in Shamanism, which is a healing art,
and possesses a potent power to awaken positive elements in people and the environment.
Creativity is one of the most important aspects of Shamanism, as is ritual, thus through the beneficial effects of colour, symbolism, magic and nature signs I create a powerful Ritual painting.
The concept of personal healing through art, is a exiting adjunct to the ideals of contemporary art, as it enhances the aesthetic qualities and takes the works to another dimension.
I have been fortunate to have been involved as an Initiate into the societies of the Australian Aborigines, American Indian, and Kahuna Shamanism of Polynesia, and working as a healer and teacher all over the world.

Biography:
Hiske was born in the Hague, Holland and studied in the Free Academy and The koonlijke Academy in the Hague, The Regent College in London, and studied and Painted in Paris.
Hiske extensively traveled and studied Art throughout Europe, Asia, and the USA and Canada.
In New York she became involved in the underground culture in the sixty�s, where she lived and painted for five years,and than moved to Belgium, designing and creating silver jewelry to be sold in Art Galleries around Europe.
After 5 years in 1971, Hiske moved to Australia with her husband and two daughters, and opened a Art-Gallery �NOW� in Surfers paradise and than moved to Mullumbimby, NSW, and build a home studio in the mountains.
Hiske studied Weaving in Sydney,
Natural Healing, Homeopathy,
Massage, Colour therapy,Astrology,
Is a Reiki Master, trained with Shaman Master Serge Kahili King in Hawaii and is a Alakaii, and studied with Aboriginal woman in Ernabella in the desert near Ayers rock, and also worked as a Natural therapist in NSW.
Than Hiske became involved in combining Healing and Painting, �Healing Art� and gives Workshops National and International in Reiki and Shamanic Healing Art.
Her medium is Acrylic and oil on canvas
Had 15 one woman shows and 25 mixed shows here and overseas, and have been commissioned and collected, and won several prices.
I also studied the Healing arts: Homeopathy, massage, Astrology, Colour Healing, I am a Reiki Master and a Ordained Alakaii( Shaman Teacher) of Huna International, I became involved in combining Healing and Painting when I studied with the Aboriginal woman in Ernabella near Ayers rock.
